El día 8 de diciembre inauguramos nuestro primer proyecto. La guardería cuya explotación aportará ingresos suficientes para sustentar el alquiler del orfanato.
Hemos puesto todo nuestro esfuerzo para que Margaret, la mama de los 27 niños que conviven en el orfanato CHILDREN OF DESTINY tenga su propio negocio. Maestra de profesión siempre soñó con tener una guardería, pero su destino pasaba primero por adoptar y hacer de madre a 27 niños en situaciones de abandono. En julio, su situación era extrema, ya que, además de cuidarse de los niños trabajaba por las noches en un restaurante, no le llegaba para pagar el alquiler del orfanato y tenía una orden de desalojo del mismo.
Gracias a mucho amigos, en 4 meses hemos conseguido recoger el dinero suficiente para que su sueño se hiciese realidad y hemos convertido parte del orfanato en una guardería exclusiva, con material europeo, donde sólo se habla inglés y donde los papas adinerados están orgullosos de llevar a sus hijos y pagar por ello. Con estos ingresos se está ya cubriendo el coste del alquiler .
